Dance - 2026-2027 Season 

Participants and their parents (if participant is under 18) permit the taking of photos, audio and videotapes during RLAC activities for publication and use as RLAC deems necessary. If you do not want a picture or video taken of yourself, please inform the director or instructor prior to the start of the program. 

2026-2027 Dance Classes

Registration will be open on our new website from August 3 - September 8.

The Dance Season will be broken into three sessions.

  • Session A: September 13 - October 30

  • Session B: November 1 - December 19 (No classes the week of Thanksgiving)

  • Session C: January 5 - recital date (TBD) (No classes the week of Lake Mills Area School District Spring Break)

If your child is enrolled in Session A, they will be automatically enrolled in Session B and C. You will be emailed an invoice for prices listed below.

Class prices listed below are for Session A, B, and C. The Sessions dates are listed above and the balance for each class must be paid the first week of the session unless you arrange a payment plan with Rene.

Session B includes a $30 costume down payment. 

In addition to the prices listed below, there will be a costume fee due in March, 2027 (Details coming soon!)

If you’re looking for a fun and energetic way to get your boy moving, look no further than jazz dance! Jazz is a great way to teach children about rhythm and movement and help improve coordination, flexibility, and strength. In this boys' jazz class, students will be taught the fundamentals of jazz technique, rhythm, coordination, leaps, turns, across the floor progressions, and musicality. This fun high energy class is specifically designed for boys ages 3-5.

Ms. Mallory Discover the joys of dance in this energetic combo class! Students will learn the graceful fundamentals and basic techniques of ballet, alongside the rhythmic steps and sounds of tap. This class builds coordination, confidence and musicality in a fun environment

Ms. Leah Acrobatics is the beautiful art form of jumping, tumbling, and balancing. This class will focus on safe and effective progressions that will improve skills in flexibility, tumbling, strength, and balance. This class is for older students looking to get into tap or more advanced students looking to progress. We will review the basics of tap and then use those steps to build up to more complex and more advanced skills. Students will continue to progress their tap technique focusing on clean, crisp sounds.

Jazz

 Ms. Mallory

Jazz is a combination of ballet and modern technique. Emphasis on the importance of energy, rhythm, technique, and style will be taught in this class. We will go through a series of stretches that progress from the floor to combination choreography. Contemporary music and dance moves will be taught in this class making it a very fun and active class.

*Students in 4th and 5th Grades also have the option of taking Acrobatics and Jazz (See Level II Classes above.)

Ballet III

Ms. Katy  This class continues building the skills learned in previous ballet classes. Students will develop stronger technique and body alignment at the barre, in the center, and across the floor as they prepare to move to Advanced Ballet.  Lyrical

Thursdays 

6:50-7:50pm

Ms. Mallory  This class is a more contemporary take on Ballet. Using many of the same moves as Ballet, this class will teach students how to take things already learned and loosen their bodies to create more dramatic, emotional movements.  This class is the highest level of Ballet where students will have their knowledge of Ballet movement and technique tested as they continue strengthening their barre, across the floor, and center combinations. Students in this class will also begin more intense strengthening to prepare them for Pre-Pointe and Pointe.
