Creative Movement
Start the basics of dance by learning technique and expression through story. With the use of our imaginations and props we will use and learn fundamentals of ballet to emote and portray a story through dance while having a lot of fun and being creative. Students will learn and perfect a ballet dance infused with creative physical storytelling for the recital

Ballet/Lyrical
This class will work on the technique and discipline of ballet with the story telling and emotions of lyrical. The students will learn and perfect one longer dance for the recital mixing ballet and lyrical together.

Musical Theatre Dance
This class will work on stage presence and performance of a musical number in the styles of musical theatre. The children will work on technique as well as ‘acting’ out the story with their movements and their bodies. Students will learn and perfect a Musical Theatre Piece for the recital

Intermediate 2- Lyrical

Lyrical is a modern form of ballet mixed with a little bit of Jazz. Lyrical dances are danced to songs that make you feel something, therefore being named lyrical since you listen to the lyrics. We will focus on flexibility, turnout, body positioning as well as new steps, leaps and tunrs as we explore the lyrical style of ballet dance. Students will learn and perfect a  Lyrical dance in the recital.

Advanced- Jazz and Tap *

The first 30 minutes of this class will focus on Jazz only. More detailed steps, turns, leaps and combinations as well as a “fun” dance will start the year. The students will learn and perfect a Jazz dance for the recital. THEN for those students who are staying for the last 15 minutes, we will focus on more difficult rhythms and combinations, as well as slightly faster footwork. The students will learn and perfect a Tap Dance Routine for the recital *Those students for JAZZ ONLY will have a slightly reduced class fee. *An additional costume fee will be added to the final costume payment to cover the second costume.

Beginner 3- Ballet and Tap

In this class your child will start off reviewing the basics of ballet and tap utilizing review dances. Then we will start to build on these basics focusing on combinations of steps and correct step names. Students will learn and perfect a Ballet AND Tap dance routine for the recital. *An additional costume fee will be added to the final costume payment to cover the second costume.

Intermediate 1 -Ballet

This class will continue building on all the skills from the Beginner ballet classes. Emphasising on proper technique, body positioning, correct step names, as well as new turns and combinations. Students will learn and perfect a Ballet routine for the recital.

Intermediate 1- Jazz and Tap

New combinations, steps and turns will be the focus of this class. We will start the year with review dances and then learn and perfect a Jazz AND Tap routine for the recital.

Advanced Ballet and Lyrical

This class continues and expands the work from the intermediate level. Special attention will be given to foot and ankle strengthening, flexibility, proper foot/leg positioning, and turnout. These students will continue to develop with the lyrical style of dance and learn and perfect a Ballet AND Lyrical routine in the recital. *An additional costume will be added to the final costume payment to cover the second costume.

Modern Dance

Modern is an expressive style of dancing started in the early 20th century as a reaction to classical ballet. In recent years it has included elements not usually associated with dance such as speech and film. It is a dance form that allows the students to learn how to dance, but in a form that is less structured than ballet.

Jazz/ Hip Hop*

This class will focus on Jazz and Hip Hop separately and students will perform two routines during the recital. *An additional costume fee will be added to the final costume payment for the second costume.
